Main Library
The Main Library is located on the 7th floor of the Department of Commerce building and houses a collection composed of books and journals in the subject area of business, commerce, and trade. The Main Library provides reference and interlibrary loan services for the Department of Commerce staff.
Law Library
The Department of Commerce Law Library is located on the first floor of the Department of Commerce building and houses a collection of approximately 100,000 volumes. Much of the collection is composed of historic, legislative materials including a nearly complete serial set of the Congressional reports, hearings, Congressional Record, the Federal Register dating back to its first publication, and an extensive legislative history collection. The Law Library collects current legal material to support the work of the Office of the General Counsel in the areas of interest to the Department of Commerce including international trade, environmental issues, and intellectual property. The Law Library provides reference and interlibrary loan service for legal materials to all Department of Commerce staff members.
BEA Library
The Bureau of Economic Analysis Library is located at 14th and L Street. It contains books and journals primarily in the subject area of economics and statistics, Census publications, and BEA publications. The Bureau of Economic Analysis Library is open to Department of Commerce staff members only.
